The Charter of the City of Gresham, Oregon
The current City Charter was adopted on May 2, 1978. The City Charter may only be amended, repealed, or replaced if at least 60 percent of Gresham's citizens pass a ballot measure to approve the changes. The current City Charter has been revised nine times since it was adopted in 1978. The City Council appoints a committee to review the City Charter every eight years, and the next committee will be appointed in 2011.
