The City's Performance Measures at a glance
Public cynicism and skepticism about government is at an all time high. A 2006 study by Davis, Hibbitts and Midghall showed that less than 20% of the general public will rate any level of government as doing a very good job. The City is committed to changing this grim opinion by making data available to residents on services that affect the quality of life in Gresham.
Performance Matters
Performance Matters is a new accountability program built around measuring performance on major projects and core business functions that directly affect Gresham residents.
What are performance measures?
Performance measures are tools that measure the quality of a service by defining specific measurable elements of a service or issue.
The City’s performance measure program Performance Matters will assist the City in managing government performance by tracking, monitoring and reviewing performance in a systematic way. Residents will be able to monitor how the City is performing on issues that matter to them.
