Budget Committee

About the Budget Committee

This committee consists of the Mayor, six Council members and the seven-member volunteer Finance Committee, who are citizens appointed by the City Council.

The Budget Committee has the legal authority to change any portion of the proposed budget and is responsible to pass the City's approved budget.

Budget Committee meetings take place annually, usually in April or May, in the City Hall Conference Center.

April 18, 2024 Budget Committee Meeting #1

A public meeting of the Gresham Budget Committee will be held on April 18 at 6:00 pm, at which time the fiscal year 2024/25 budget document will be considered by the Budget Committee.

How to participate

This meeting will be conducted using Zoom, an online meeting platform.

Public comments

Please note the process for providing public comments during virtual Budget Committee meetings.

  • Written testimony: Must be received 24 hours in advance of the Budget Committee meeting to the Recording Secretary  at  Budget&Finance@GreshamOregon.gov.
  • Oral testimony: If you plan to provide oral public testimony, you must register your name, email address, phone number and subject matter to Recording Secretary via email to  Budget&Finance@GreshamOregon.gov 24 hours in advance of the Budget Committee meeting.

If you want to provide comments regarding the hearing on the possible use of Oregon Revenue Sharing Funds, please submit separate testimony, following the same procedures as described above.

If you want to provide testimony and are unable to provide written comments in advance or are otherwise unable to access the meeting via Zoom, please notify the City 24 hours in advance of the meeting so we can provide alternate arrangements.
