Council and Community Listening Session

Join Councilor Cathy Keathley for a listening session to share your thoughts on a proposed day shelter at Cook Plaza in Rockwood. Multnomah County proposed turning the Cook Plaza building into a permanent shelter. Since 2022, the Cook Plaza building served as a temporary shelter during extreme weather events.

Councilor Keathley invites the community to learn more about findings from listening sessions conducted by Commissioner Jones-Dixon. We want to help shape decisions in the best interest of everyone who calls Gresham home and work together with Multnomah County.

Shelters in Gresham

There are currently seven shelters in operation. An additional agreement to use the Days Inn Suites, located at 242nd and Stark brings the total to eight.
