June 2, 2025

On June 1, 2025, just after 11:00 pm, Gresham Police officers and Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex, located in 3100 block of NE 23rd Street.

Officers and deputies located one adult male with a visible injury above his eye. While initial reports suggested a gunshot wound, further assessment indicated the injury was the result of a physical fight. The injured individual was uncooperative, and three others at the scene provided limited information.

Preliminary investigation indicates the incident began as a street-level fight involving fists and skateboards, potentially between individuals affiliated with rival groups. During the altercation, a firearm was displayed and discharged, but no one was struck by gunfire.

The injured male was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the facial injury. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Gresham Police Department tip line at 503-618-2719.
