  Many parts of Gresham's sign code work well, others require clarification, improvement or updating to meet current design goals, account for newer technology and clarify code standards.

• Sewer Line Work

  This summer and fall, Gresham crews will use a safe method called smoke testing to check sewer pipes across the city.

• Backflow Prevention Program

  The City has established a state-mandated cross connection control program to prevent backflow from swimming pools, hot tubs, spas, lawn irrigation systems etc.

• Youth Advisory Council

  The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) includes students from all Gresham-area high school who work to help local youth make sure their voices are heard at the City.

• Unmanned Aerial Systems (Drones)

  The City is required to establish and publish policies and procedures for use, storage, access, sharing and retention of all data collected by a Unmanned Aerial System (UAS, or drone).

• Garbage and Recycling

  The City's Recycling and Solid Waste program regulates private haulers and sets collection service rates and standards, while also providing information to residents and businesses about waste reduction and resource conservation.

  A program providing property tax abatements on new investments in exchange for meeting job creation and other requirements.
