Holiday Construction Ban

Winter holiday festivities mean increased congestion in Gresham’s major retail districts. Travel lanes in all retail districts must be kept clear and on-street parking made available to the general public. The holiday construction ban is from the Thanksgiving and New Year holidays. 

Construction work that requires closing or blocking any roadway, bike lane, parking space or sidewalk in the areas listed below is prohibited during this five-week span. Only necessary emergency work will be authorized.

To apply for an exemption, submit a request for waiver form.

• Downtown Business District: Bounded by Powell Boulevard, Division Street, NE Kelly Avenue and NW Miller Street
• West Gresham Business District: Bounded by SE 181st Avenue, SE Stark Street and East Burnside Road
• Southeast Gresham Business District: Bounded by SE Burnside Road, East Powell Boulevard, SE First Street and SE Third Street from Burnside Road to SE First Street
• Gresham Station: Bounded by NW Division Street, NW Burnside Road, NW Eastman Parkway and NW Wallula Avenue
