Construction projects
The City is upgrading the pipe on SE 4th St. between SE Spruce Ave and SE Hogan Rd. due to age and condition.
Work schedule

What to expect
- Construction equipment and noise.
- No on street parking near construction area. No parking signs will be placed 72-hours before closure.

Project Description
Construction of a well pump house at Kirk Park. The well has already been drilled and this construction will turn it into a useable water source for both Rockwood Water PUD and the City of Gresham. A new pipeline will be constructed connecting to the Rockwood District Offices, where the water will be treated.

The park will remain open, but a large portion will be closed for construction; Partial street closures; Construction equipment, noise, vibration, and dust

Crews are drilling a groundwater well near North Gresham Elementary school, 1001 SE 217th Avenue.
This project is expanding Gresham's groundwater supply.
Project description
The City is replacing an overhead sewer crossing above Johnson Creek between SW Highland Dr. and Springwater Trail. The pipeline upgrade is designed to withstand a large earthquake.
Improvements will include:
- Replacing and increasing the depth of the piles at either end of the crossing. This will provide a strong base for the span.
- Replacing the existing pipe and enclosing it with steel casing.
- Upgrading the manholes at either end of the span.
- Securing the above ground manholes to prevent disconnection.
Schedule
Oct. 2024 – March 2025.
Work hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 6 pm

- Watch for possible trail detours during construction.

- Some sidewalk work is scheduled before paving begins this summer.
Project overview
The City will upgrade sidewalk ramps at intersections throughout Gresham. Installing sloped curb ramps provide improved safety at pedestrian crossings. The new ramps allow people with disabilities to safely travel from the sidewalk to the street.
Project impacts
During all construction activity, there will be delays and on-street parking will be impacted. We try to limit disruptions as much as possible.
- Sidewalk closed.
- Bike lane closed.
- Construction equipment parked in your neighborhood.
- Partial road closure; flaggers may be directing traffic.
- Reduced on-street parking.
- Noise and dust.

The City’s Transportation Division is planning safety improvements at high crash rate locations across the City, funded by ODOT's All Roads Transportation Safety (ARTS) Program. Work will include:
- Installing a non-mountable curb on the yellow painted centerline approaching the intersection.
- The non-mountable curb will restrict access to right in/out. Left turns will be prohibited.

Project impact
- While this project will not close any driveways, it does change how driveways can be used.
- Work is expected to start early summer and will take approximately one week to complete each curb, weather permitted.

The City is increasing water pipe capacity. Crews are upgrading water mains and connecting service lines with new water treatment and water storage facilities. This project includes replacing 1200 linear feet of water distribution lines in residential areas.
Schedule
Last spring crews installed new underground water mains. Paving is scheduled for late-September. Weather may impact paving schedule.

The City is replacing part of a waterline on SE Salquist Road between SE Eagle Avenue to SE Night Heron Place.
