Ikanum Plaza Ribbon Cutting and City Hall Day

Ikanum is a restful oasis located between the new East County Library and Gresham City Hall. Pronounced Ee-KAH-Num, a Chinook-wawa word meaning “Old Stories,” Ikanum is a public plaza designed to provide a community space for activities and making connections.

Join us for the opening of this important space, with key partners from the Multnomah County Library, TriMet, Metro, and the Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest (NARA NW). 

After a special ceremony by NARA NW and brief remarks, the festivities will move across the City Hall MAX tracks to South Civic Plaza for a City of Gresham Open House. Enjoy free food, explore resources, and learn more about the projects making a difference for Gresham residents.
