Gradin Community Sports Park Field Closures

Fields 3 and 4 are temporarily closed during August and September. The City is restoring the grass to keep the fields safe and ready for play.

What is happening?

• Overseeding
• Topdressing
• Turf establishment
• Routine maintenance

Please stay off the fields

Walking, running, pets and sports can damage new grass and slow its growth.

Why are the fields closed?

The fields had irrigation problems that made it hard for the grass to grow. During the closure, Parks staff will repair the turf by adding top dressing, planting new grass seed and giving it time to grow.

Keeping the fields closed now helps protect the new grass so the fields can reopen in better condition for everyone.
