Gradin Community Sports Park Phase 2

Gradin Sports Park improvements are complete. The sports fields will open for play April 1. Sports field reservations opened in February. 

Community Celebration

Check out all the new fun at Gradin during a community celebration from 4:00-6:00 pm on Friday, July 10. Make plans to stay for free Movies in the Park starting at 6:30 pm.

Phase 2 improvements

Phase 2 included adding two new softball fields, two new soccer fields, and an amenity plaza to complete the vision of the sports park that began more than two decades ago. Paving the gravel parking lot and walking paths are complete.

New amenity plaza

More good news for Gradin – an Oregon State Parks grant funded an amenity plaza. The plaza will feature 10 new amenities:

  • 8 pickleball courts
  • 1 basketball court
  • 1 volleyball court
  • 2 permanent restrooms
  • Picnic shelter
  • New play areas
  • Dog park, enclosed, small and large
  • 300-plus trees
  • 1,000-plus native shrubs
  • Short-term food trucks

Building on Phase 1

Phase 1, completed in 2009, included the sports fields, paths and parking areas you see and use today. Read more about Gradin Sports Park.
