Vance Park Safety Improvements

This fall, the City is completing safety improvements at Vance Park to ensure a safer, more welcoming space for all community members to enjoy recreation.

Improvements

The City’s Contractor, Yates Line Company, are installing utility poles for additional lighting and security cameras. 

Work schedule

• Work will be completed by early November.
• Work hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Completed work

• Removed dead and unhealthy trees to improve visibility.
• Restored and opened the baseball field. 

More park activities 

Last summer, Vance park hosted new activities for the community to enjoy. Summer Kids in the Park provides free snacks and activities for kids. We added Free Yoga in the Park and other community celebrations. We are excited to host more events in 2026.
