Wastewater Utility Rates

The wastewater portion of your utility bill has two charges:

Consumption-based wastewater billing: winter water average

A small portion of your utility bill for wastewater is based on your home's average water consumption during the preceding winter months of October–April. This is called the winter water average.

  • Under this format, every customer will pay at least $87.32 per billing period (for two months of service), plus the winter water average usage at 85¢ per unit.
  • Each unit of water is equivalent to 748 gallons.
  • Effective January 1, 2027, customers will pay at least $93.24 per billing period (for two months of service) plus the winter water average usage at 91¢ per unit. 

Most cities in the region base some portion of their wastewater utility bill on water usage.
