Rising Stars

The Rising Stars program recognizes and celebrates outstanding youth in our community. 

 What makes a Rising Star?

• Youth who demonstrate leadership, resilience or contributions to their community.
• Youth who are making a difference through academics, sports, arts, service or personal growth.

Nominate a Rising Star

The City seeks nominations from community-based organizations or by reaching out to all K-12 schools each month. 

Recognizing achievements  

Nominated youth are invited to a future City Council meeting to be recognized by the Mayor and City Councilors. They will have the chance to take individual and group photos with City leaders as part of their recognition.
